Prof. Marc Desmulliez
Marc is a Professor of Smart Systems Engineering and Deputy Director of the Institute of Signals, Sensors and Systems at Heriot Watt University. He has over 15 years of experience in developing manufacturing and sensing solutions in the health and care engineering sectors. He also span out two companies and started up a third one: Birthing Innovations Ltd aimed at manufacturing a birth mirror to help mothers giving birth in water pools. He is the Manager of the Medical Device Manufacturing Centre and Director of the Nature Inspired Manufacturing Centre at Heriot-Watt University.
