Owen Muhimbise
Owen is a Biomedical Engineer and medical technology innovator with interests in local capacity development for design, development, manufacture and testing for low-cost appropriate medical devices in low resource settings. He has special interests in application of technology to solve maternal and newborn healthcare challenges such as postpartum haemorrhage and pneumonia. He co-founded Principality Medtech Ltd, a start-up medical innovation company in the maternal health space. He currently works as a Biomedical Engineer in the Ugandan Ministry of Health, where he is influential in management of medical devices in public health facilities in Uganda.
